Songs from the Second Floor

It's this dark Swedish film, by Roy Andersson, that we screened in my drawing studio this morning (we were drawing blind contours of the entire movie). It's appropriately labeled as a "film poem" and "tragicomedy" by Wikipedia. The pacing is quite slow but it's well worth it I think. I found myself forgetting to draw as I became mesmerized by the lonely, weirdly funny beauty of it.

Don't watch this on a first date.
